Catalans Dragons general manager Christophe Levy has admitted the weekend Super League clash against Castleford is under threat after a prolonged spell of snow has left their Gilbert Brutus Stadium pitch covered.
The Perpignan pitch has been covered by around 40cm of snow and the club are continuing their efforts to clear the surface in time for the match.
They have informed their Yorkshire counterparts and their fans not to travel until they can make an official decision on the game.
"It snowed for the whole day (Tuesday) and everything is closed," Levy said.
"The players and volunteers are trying to clear the pitch but it's going really slowly. The snow is not melting because it's only one degree.
"We will see at the end of the day how far we get but we probably won't make a decision until tomorrow (Thursday)."
