Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown had words of sympathy for his opposite number John Kear after his Giants side had demolished Wakefield 52-0 at Belle Vue.

Brown's side ran in ten tries in a one-sided encounter, with former Wildcats star Scott Grix going over twice.

"It was a good result," said Brown after the game. "I get a lot of satisfaction for the players but I feel for Keary too.

"As a coach, as much as you love having a good win, I've been on the other side of a 50-0 and you do feel for the other coach.

"For us to be a successful team, Paul Whatuira playing well is important to us and we're really happy with how he's playing."
