St Helens star Leon Pryce has warned the rest of Super League that the Knowsley Road squad are out for revenge after last season's Grand Final heartbreak.Saints looked to be going all the way last term when a 23-match unbeaten run landed them the Challenge Cup and a Grand Final spot, but although they were heavy favourites against Leeds Rhinos they went down 24-16 at Old Trafford back in October.

But Pryce is confident his teammates have overcome that disappointment and will again be challenging for honours this season.

He said: "Last season was last season and we just need to concentrate on this year now.

"It has definitely given us the motivation to try and do better though. We couldn't quite finish the job and that did hurt and we want to put that right.

"It is important that we don't think about the end of the year too much though, we have to concentrate on winning week in and week out first but if we can do that then I am confident we will be close to the top again."

It is all change at Knowsley Road as coach Daniel Anderson has been replaced by former Catalans Dragons boss Mick Potter and Pryce has already praised the new man's influence.

He added: "It is good to have a change every now and again and he has been good for us I think.

"He has brought new ideas and new training patterns and that has freshened us all up and he's keeping us on our toes."

Meanwhile, Pryce's younger brother Karl is finally ready to make his Super League debut for Wigan Warriors after a nightmare year-long injury problem.

Karl damaged his foot playing for union side Gloucester in 2007 but after switching back to the 13-man code before last term, he could not play a single minute of Wigan's season because of his complaint.

And Leon says he excited to see his brother back and can't wait to play against him.

He said: "It will just be good to see him back. I will obviously be doing my best to beat him but from his point of view it is a relief he is ready again."
