Michael Schumacher has questioned the rule changes in Formula One following his return to competitive action.
The seven-times world champion finished sixth in Sunday's season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix after his comeback following four years in retirement with Mercedes GP.
However, Schumacher has questioned the wisdom of the rule changes for 2010 which have brought an end to refuelling and stipulate that cars must begin races with the tyres they used in final qualifying.
"The new rules with the tyres that everybody has to cope with, I struggle a little bit with those," admitted Schumacher.
"But after three years I guess it's natural you have to find your way into new bits and pieces."
Speaking about cars starting races with full fuel tanks, the German added: "Overtaking was basically impossible unless somebody made a mistake.
"That is the action we are going to have with this kind of environment of race strategy."
Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso won the race in his first drive for Ferrari ahead of Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel and the McLaren of Lewis Hamilton in third.
