World number one Tiger Woods is delighted to have been selected as one of the USA's four wildcards for the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor next month.
Woods has been given the nod by US captain Corey Pavin along with Stewart Cink, Zach Johnson and Rickie Fowler and is relishing the chancer to take on Europe again.
He commented: "It's great to be part of this team. I'm honoured to be selected.
"I'm looking forward to having a great time with the team and hopefully bringing the cup back.
"I've always loved playing the Ryder Cup and enjoy being part of the team. I don't know where this perception of indifference comes from because I have always loved it.
"They are experiences you will never forget and you create friendships.
"I think my game is not far away and that makes it a lot easier to go into a pressure-packed environment.
"The atmosphere is certainly different - it's definitely more charged, But it's great fun to play in front of fans that are that excited.
"You want to play well to make the crowd go quiet. That's the objective of every team."
