Walcott: We're flying
Theo Walcott hailed a young Arsenal side's performance in dismantling Fenerbahce 5-2 in their Champions League clash in Istanbul and says the entire team is 'flying'. There were five different scorers as Arsene Wenger's men produced a master-class in Turkey despite going into the game with a number of injuries. And Walcott - who can do no wrong for club nor country at present and scored the second in this rout - insists that demonstrates the quality in Wenger's squad.
"Everyone is just flying at the moment," said Walcott after a victory which puts Arsenal in charge of Champions League Group G with seven points from nine.
"We're playing brilliantly and are scoring from all positions - it just shows how strong our squad is."
He told ITV: "This is a very difficult place to come as the fans get behind them (Fenerbahce), but everyone got their jobs right and it was a brilliant performance."
And Abou Diaby, who scored his side's third, was equally delighted with a fantastic result.
"To come here and play is never easy," said the Frenchman, who was making his first start after three months out injured.
"We did very, very well and I think it's a really good win."
