Birmingham are said to be considering a £16million double offer from Stoke City for Scott Dann and Cameron Jerome.
The Potters have been tracking Jerome since January, while Dann has also been added to their list of transfer targets after the Blues were relegated to the Championship.
A host of clubs have been showing an interest in the duo but Stoke boss Tony Pulis has stolen a march on his rivals and hopes to get a deal wrapped up as soon as possible.
Birmingham have yet to respond to the offer and, while they are thought to be giving it serious consideration, it has been suggested it will not be enough to tempt them to sell.
Blues value Jerome at £6million and Dann at £12million so the Potters may have to go back with another improved bid.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa are also interested in Dann and news of Stoke's bid could spark them into action over the next 24 hours.
