Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards remains confident that he will be fit enough to take part in pre-season training when it starts in July.
The Welsh international has been out of the side with a back injury since the win over Wolves back in February but he is hopeful of being back in time for the start of pre-season next month.
In the meantime Edwards has thanked his team mates for keeping him a Premier League player by winning their battle against the drop.
He told the club's website: "Obviously the back injury which ruled me out at the end was the worst one but I had a few muscle injuries before that which may have been linked to it.
"I'm just glad I'll get the chance to have another crack at the Premier League because I would have been horrified not to have the opportunity again.
"I'm grateful to the other lads for managing to keep us in the league and hopefully I'll get another go next season.
"I've just got to work hard now and hopefully be fit for pre-season."
