Milan star rules out Chelsea and City switch
AC Milan defender Thiago Silva is committed to the Italian club distancing himself from reports linking him with a move to the Premier League duo of Manchester City and Chelsea.
Silva, 25 has been linked with a move to both Chelsea and Manchester City with reports intimating the defender was close to leaving the Rossoneri during the summer.
Despite summer reports Silva has committed his future to Il Diavolo and stated he feels at home in Milan and is looking forward to winning trophies this campaign:
Silva told Sport Mediaset: “Milan are my home. I am happy. The club is like my family. I hope to stay here at least until 2014.
“The club has conducted a fantastic transfer campaign. I am not going to say that we’ll win the Champions League and the Scudetto, but we’ll realise at least one of these two objectives.
“As a defender, I would like to see Pato, Robinho, Dinho and Ibra on the pitch. I am ready to fight and maybe even play my part in this quartet of goalscorers.
“The important thing is that Nesta is by my side. He is a fundamental point of reference. A champion. We’ll have to find the right balance in defence and midfield."
