Manchester United youngster Bebe admits his inclusion in Sir Alex Ferguson’s Champions League squad came as a surprise, but one he intends to take full advantage of.
The 20-year-old has been unfairly derided in various publications since his shock arrival in English football during the summer, but Ferguson’s decision to include his £7.4 million signing suggests the forward may get more chances to impress than he initially thought.
Bebe is quoted by Sky Sports saying: “I'm surprised by my inclusion in the Champions League squad,
"It's a dream for me. I never thought I would have made it, but now I am a very happy man.
"I only hope that my confidence returns when I start playing some games and scoring goals, like I know how.
"At the moment I am working very hard each day in training.
"I intend to make the most of my chance and hopefully profit from the opportunity given to me."
