Arsenal youngster Jay Simpson is set to sign a three-year contract with Hull City, according to his agent.
The 21-year-old, who scored 13 goals in 42 appearances for QPR during a season-long loan spell at Loftus Road last term, will move to the Tigers for a transfer fee that could eventually rise to £1million.
Leon Callender, the owner of Straight Ace Sports Management, the company which looks after Simpson, told the Hull Daily Mail: "Jay is fit, ready and raring to go. He's played okay in pre-season, scored a few goals and he's been training well every day.
"He's looking forward to playing for Hull and he's up for it as soon as the contract is finalised. It's just been a matter of the two clubs ironing out the deal, dotting the i's and crossing t's, so to speak.
"Hull has always been his number one choice and he can't wait to get started on a new chapter in his career."
