According to talkSport Bob Bradley has quit his job with the USA national team and is poised to be named the next manager of Aston Villa.
Bradley, who led the USA to the knockout stages of the World Cup Finals, finishing above England in their group, has emerged as the outright favourite to succeed Martin O’Neill.
Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner is believed to be a huge fan of the pragmatic 52-year-old, whose previous jobs include DC United and Chicago Fire of the MLS, and although Bradley will not be in charge for Villa’s opening Premier League encounter with West Ham United, talkSport.co.uk claim the American will be formally presented next week.
Martin O’Neill dramatically handed in his resignation on Monday, ending his four year association with Aston Villa, amid reports he was unhappy about the transfer funds being made available to him in light of James Milner’s pending sale to Manchester City.
