Bayern Munich head coach Louis van Gaal has ruled out the arrival of any new players at the club this summer, ending talk of a move for Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.
Van Gaal believes that he already has too many frontmen at his disposal and would be content to see one of Miroslav Klose and Mario Gomez move on - with Ivica Olic and Thomas Muller his other options.
The Dutchman told Spox.com: "We will not buy anyone. Perhaps this is the first year in the history of Bayern Munich that this is so.
"I do not think Dzeko fits into our overall concept, because we already have four strikers. Even if I play with two strikers, I still have two too many - we need to sell rather than buy.
"The players have told me that they feel comfortable here and that I am a good coach. But if one wants to leave, then it is better if he goes."
