Thomas Muller’s agent Pius Minder has warned the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea that Bayern Munich’s valuation of the player will “have tripled” on the back of the 20-year-old’s superb performances at the World Cup finals.

Muller has been the architect of Germany’s eye-catching wins over England and Argentina netting four goals on their way to the semi-finals and all this less than year after the attacking midfielder was plying his trade for the Bayern Munich reserves.

Minder suggested the coveted starlet would now be commanding top fees should Manchester United or Chelsea follow up their reported interest in the player. He claimed Sir Alex Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti could have signed the German star for as little as £8 million a few months ago, but now the negotiations will begin nearer the £25 million mark.

Bayern Munich’s chairman Karl Heinz Rummenigge today warned Muller’s suitors that the Bundesliga champions would not entertain selling the emerging World Cup star, and Minder appeared to reiterate Munich’s strong stance.

Minder told reporters: "Certainly his market value would now have tripled.

"£8 million? Bayern would not pick up the phone for that amount."
