Blackpool FC boss Ian Holloway has allegedly ended the newly promoted Premier League club’s alleged interest in Bayern Munich forward Deniz Yilmaz according to reports.
Yesterday the Sun newspaper suggested Blackpool were looking into bringing the Turkish Under-21 international to Bloomfield Road for a knockdown fee from the Bundesliga giants; however it appears the precocious youngster’s lofty wage demands have put pay to a move to the Premier League.
Ian Holloway recently suggested he had a potential transfer shortlist 17 players deep, but recent media speculation would suggest Yilmaz is no longer one of them. Blackpool will begin their debut Premier League season at home against Wigan Athletic on August 14th.
Blackpool secured their promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs after they beat Championship rivals Cardiff 3-2 at Wembley on May 22nd.
