David Moyes is reportedly hot on the heels of Togo born striker Peniel Mlapa after the 19-year-old broke into the 1860 Munich and attracted attention from Everton scouts.
The Daily Mail claim that Everton could make an offer to their German counterparts this summer with the Toffees very keen on securing striking additions to their squad. The Goodison Park outfit have once again struggled with injuries up front with Yakubu, Louis Saha and Victor Anichebe all prone to long spells on the sidelines.
It is believed that Mlapa, who represents a physical force at 6ft 4inches tall, is worth around £3 million; a figure within Everton’s budet despite the prospect of a season without European football.
Mlapa has represented Germany’s under-19 side on two occasions but rejected the chance to play for Togo during World Cup qualification alongside Manchester City’s Emmanuel Adebayor.
