Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas will not be considered for selection by Arsene Wenger as his side prepare to take on Porto in the second leg of their Champions League first round knock-out match.

The Gunners playmaker was substituted on Saturday having given Arsenal the lead in their 3-1 win over Burnley. It is expected that Alexandre Song will play alongside Samir Nasri and Abou Diaby as Wenger looks to fill the gap left by his team's most influential player.

Arsenal are currently 2-1 down after the first leg and have it all to do if they are to keep their dream of a first Champions League title alive.

It is as yet unconfirmed how long Fabregas' hamstring injury will keep him sidelined although the player could still travel with the Gunners to Hull City at the weekend.
