Despite a unpredictable start to the Premier League season, the league’s top four places are once again occupied by Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool, but despite its familiar feel, Sport.co.uk thought they would take a look at the best players outside the much vaunted aforementioned. Making the list are players from Manchester City, Everton, Wigan Athletic, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Fulham, and Tottenham, but can you guess which ones make the list?
The Manchester City player in question has perhaps been Roberto Mancini and before him Mark Hughes’ best players this season, but one of his Eastlands’ teammates on the list is certainly rivalling him for that honour. Alongside those City of Manchester Stadium luminaries are an Everton midfielder with a canny knack of scoring goals for David Moyes and a Wigan Athletic fullback that has once again excelled at the DW Stadium this season. Tottenham Hotspur have a prolific forward scoring goals a plenty at White Hart Lane, while Aston Villa have an English midfielder who has lit up Villa Park this season from various positions. Fulham and Roy Hodgson are fortunate enough to have a Australian veteran in their ranks with real Premier League pedigree, while he in turn has been aided by some towering performances from a giant Norwegian at Craven Cottage. Aside from the obvious talents currently gracing Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool, who are the best players in the Premier League?
Those aforementioned from Manchester City, Everton, Wigan Athletic, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Fulham, and Tottenham obviously have rivals and peers in the Premier League worthy of a mention, but who are they? Who have we missed out? Arteta perhaps? Sunderland’s Darren Bent or City’s Emmanuel Adebayor? Are there any players at the Premier League’s less fancied clubs playing below their means maybe? Sport.co.uk wants your views, so leave them in the comments section below.
