Debate of the Day: Who should win the Ballon d'Or?
The ten finalists for this year’s European Player of the Year award have been announced with Chelsea’s Didier Drogba, Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney and Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard making up the Premier League’s nominees. The winner is announced tomorrow and with that mind Sport.co.uk wants to know ‘Who should win the Ballon d’Or?’ Real Madrid pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka have been nominated again having won the award for the last two years, while the bookies favourite Lionel Messi is worthy of his selection having helped Barcelona to an unprecedented treble last season. The only representative outside of La Liga and the Premier League is Serie A and Inter Milan’s Samuel Eto’o, whose goals last season made it a year to remember for Josep Guardiola.
