Angered midfielder: I am not the new kid on the block, I want to play
Italian international Gennaro Gattuso has hit out at his lack of playing time this season after making a full recovery from a serious knee injury. News of the outburst made by the experienced midfield enforcer is sure to alert English duo Chelsea and Manchester City who have both been tipped to swoop for the 31-year-old World Cup winner.
“I am not the new kid on the block. When I am well I want to play. I cannot expect to do so only when someone else is injured,” Gattuso said.
“I am not happy. It's not fine. I will speak with Galliani and we will see what decisions can be taken.”
