After a week in which his reputation has been bashed to smithereens on the back pages of the press in Ireland, Britain and France, Thierry Henry revealed today that he seriously considered quitting international football. A giant of the modern game, having featured for Monaco, Juventus, Arsenal and Barcelona, the 32-year-old striker has graced the beautiful game in a fifteen year career which has seen him labeled one of the best players of his generation.
