Barcelona are ready to offer new deals to up-and-coming stars Thiago Alcantara, 18, and Jonathan Dos Santos, 19, as they look to ward off interest from Premier League rivals. Thiago, the son of Brazilian World Cup winner Mazinho, made his debut at the Nou Camp at tail end of last term while Dos Santos, younger brother of Tottenham Hotspur’s Giovanni, recently made his bow for both the Catalan giants and the Mexican international side. Linked with Chelsea and Manchester City respectively it is understood by Sky Sports that sporting director Txiki Begiristain is pushing for lucrative long term deals for the pair having seen Arsenal snap up both Cesc Fabregas and Fran Merida from their esteemed academy in the recent past.
