Race heats up for 'next Voller'
Reports in Italy’s Virgilio Sport claim that Juventus will step up the hunt for Bayer Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling in January. The 24-year-old, who is enjoying a fine start to the Bundesliga season having notched eight goals in 12 games, was heavily tipped last month to make a move abroad in the coming transfer window with Arsenal, Bayern Munich and AC Milan also monitoring his progress according to agent Ali Bulut.
News of further interest from Turin’s Old Lady in the 'next Voller' comes amid speculation that legendary striker David Trezeguet will look for a new club in the coming months. Heavily linked with an exit following injury problems, the French international recently secured his status as the highest scoring foreigner in the club’s history proving that his capabilities inside the 12 yard box have not yet deserted him. The 32-year-old has been linked with a return to France and has until the January transfer window to finalise this decision, so that Juventus can make the appropriate provisions.
