Sport.co.uk can confirm that Galatasaray and Turkish international Cetin Servet is being watched by the Premier League's top clubs, however only an unnamed French club have made formal contact. The agent of the 28 -year-old nicknamed the 'Bionic Servet,' 'Terminator Servet,' and ayibogan which translates as 'man who could choke a bear,' Mithat Halis spoke exclusively to Sport.co.uk to reveal that the highly rated defender could leave in the January transfer window. Servet has been linked in the last week with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, although Halis suggested more top Premier League clubs were interested.
Halis told Sport.co.uk Editor Nigel Brown:
"There has been no concrete contact from the clubs in question. And neither of those clubs have contacted Galatasaray directly, only an un-named French club has enquiried about Cetin.
"However, top Premier League clubs are watching the player. And who knows? In January, he could move, but only for the right price. Which is at least £10 million because he is a top player. I can say no more."
Despite playing for six clubs already in his career, including Galatasaray's fierce rivals Fenerbahce, Servet has already received praise from Chelsea forward Didier Drogba, following Turkey's February friendly with the Ivory Coast.
Drogba said: “I have never struggled like this against any defence in the English Premier League. Servet is devilish. I could hear him breathe and it sent chills down the back of my neck.”
