Cesc Fabregas has revealed that the adrenaline boost of watching teammate Robin van Persie score Arsenal’s opener against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend pushed him to go on his solo run which resulted in a quick-fire second goal for the Gunners. Only eleven seconds separated the Spaniard’s goal from the restart providing Arsene Wenger’s team with the perfect end to a tight first half at the Emirates.
Speaking to Arsenal TV Online in the aftermath of the game, Fabregas revealed:
“I don’t normally do that, but I felt good in that moment.
“Maybe it was the adrenaline of the first goal. I don’t know, I just kept going…one, two and then I just kept going and I was lucky to score.
