Top Ten: Meddling Chairmen
We at Sport.co.uk are proud to say that we picked this Top Ten ourselves. That may sound simple enough, but it’s the kind of luxury not always afforded to managers serving under such meddling chairmen as QPR's who has recently been in the news for all the wrong reasons, and a former Hearts supremo who demanded a percentage of control over team affairs. Chester City once had a chairman with a penchant for the ‘Golden Arches’, while Carlisle United’s story is worthy of a Hollywood makeover. Peterborough United are enjoying themselves now, but it wasn’t always so rosy, and again the same can be said of Racing Santander. Portsmouth, Tottenham and Liverpool have all had their problems, while Real Madrid are currently enjoying a honeymoon period under a certain man named Florentino.
