The Premier League has been awash with quality foreign players throughout the years; think Bergkamp, Cantona and Zola. But for every Thierry Henry there is a Thomas Brolin. Take a look at the Top Ten: Foreign flops in the Premier League. Making the list is a former Lazio star who fluffed his lines first at Manchester United and then at Chelsea, and an AC Milan legend who also flattered to deceive at Stamford Bridge. Tottenham signed a prolific Ukrainian who then turned out to be anything but, while Leeds United thought they had signed a mercurial Swede only for him to be a jowly impersonator. Again Chelsea signed a Dutchman with fine pedigree honed at Ajax and Barcelona, but his ability never matched his lucrative wage. Newcastle United managed to get the worst out of a striker who has since thrived in European football, while the same could be said of Manchester United, as Diego Forlan has since been prolific for both Villarreal and Atletico Madrid. Everton signed a striker from Montpellier who infuriated the Goodison Park faithful, while Liverpool spent over the odds for a French international who later had a brief spell at Sunderland. Have we missed any out? Can you think of any more? Have your say in the comments section below.

'Per Kroldrup. Bought for £5m & sold for £3.5m, he wasn't a huge financial disaster. But for £5m, he still only play one half of football.'

'"Tottenham signed a prolific Ukrainian who then turned out to be anything but" You can blame Hoddle for that, he was very prolific under Graham'
