Moyes seeks swift improvement
Everton boss David Moyes has admitted his side needs to improve and quickly if they are to take anything from the Premier League season after a slow start. The Toffees' 2-1 defeat at Fulham on Sunday has left them second bottom of the fledgling table, having taken just three points from a possible 12 on offer.
"We've been in this position before," conceded Moyes. "But we have to do much better than we have done today.
"I didn't think we played great in the first half. I thought we might have just edged it, but I didn't think we were very good.
"Fulham being a goal down upped the tempo and we didn't. We looked happy to protect the goal and we never got on the front foot at all and they came into the game and got the goal.
"I thought Fulham were better than us in the second half and played with a bit more tempo.
"We didn't deal with a lot of forward balls in a way that we should have done."
