Moyes receives Anichebe boost
Victor Anichebe has handed Everton boss David Moyes a boost by returning to full training. The 21-year-old Nigerian striker has not featured in the first team since suffering a knee ligament injury during the goalless draw with Newcastle United in February.
It is hoped that Anichebe could feature in Moyes' squad for this weekend's clash with Fulham.
Meanwhile, Yakubu hopes to be able to start a first-team game shortly following his long absence with an Achilles problem.
The former Portsmouth and Middlesbrough star told the Liverpool Echo: "It's good to be back involved again as nine months out was just too long.
"I just want to play and entertain again and, with a few more games, I'm sure I'll be fine.
"Training has been good and I'm happy with my condition. I feel like I'm getting better all the time and I don't think it will be long before I'm right there.
"It's been frustrating being out - really it's been hell watching from the stands and on television. Now I just want to play injury-free for a long time.
"We'll just have to see how everything goes. Mentally I feel sharp and I know that the players are behind me. I have my confidence and I'm going to work hard in training."
