Fulham have completed their protracted chase of Jonathan Greening, announcing his signing from West Bromwich Albion on a loan deal. The midfielder will move to Craven Cottage on a season-long agreement after coming through a successful medical.

The two clubs have kept the terms of the deal undisclosed, though the move could pave the way for a permanent deal next summer should the former Manchester United and Middlesbrough midfielder impress.

Greening's move to west London was thought to be permanent as the Cottagers had several bids turned down by West Brom for his services.

But after a transfer request, the Baggies have allowed the 30-year-old to leave The Hawthorns rather than play another season in the Championship.
