The agent of PSV Eindhoven winger Balazs Dzsudzsak claims that he has yet to learn of any approach from Arsenal, despite the player himself telling the press in his native Hungary that such an offer from the Premier League has been formally registered. The Gunners have been tipped to make at least one signing before the end of the summer transfer window although it had been thought Arsene Wenger would target a further defender and striker.
Speaking exclusively to sport.co.uk, representative Ferenc Fulop stressed that he was yet to be contacted by the Gunners, or any other European side.
“I am not aware of this. Balázs (Dzsudzsák) is enjoying playing for PSV in Holland, but obviously if a big team makes an offer, it is an option.
“However, it is up to the club whether they accept any offers, or are ready to sell the player.
“We will have to see on this one. As far as I know the player is happy, and I do not know of the interest. It is up to PSV.”
The agent's comments come off the back of quotes attributed to Dsudzsak on Hungarian website sporthirado.hu, in which he revealed:
“I have just received the news that Arsenal has formally made an approach for me!”
“Now, what can I make of this?!”
He added: “Of course, I do not want to get ahead of myself.”
“But if such a club is interested in you, there is nothing wrong with being proud of such a thing.”
The 22-year-old international was reportedly watched by Gunners scouts at the Philips Stadion on Sunday morning as he put in an impressive performance helping PSV to a dramatic 4-3 Eredivisie win over Ajax.
