Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez will always hold Manchester United fans close to heart despite swapping Old Trafford for the City of Manchester Stadium this summer.

Tevez was asked by Shortlist Magazine if he was concerned about the United fans giving him a hard time, and the former West Ham star retorted: “No, my relationship with the United fans was always excellent.”

“They were very supportive of me, and they will always be close to my heart.”

“I hope I will get a good reception, because I am very fond of them and we had a good understanding.”

'I wish he'd shut up now and if he thinks that comments about loving United will help him when he visits in September then is more deluded than the fans who will be cheering him on next season! '
