Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City target Mahamadou Diarra is not interested in leaving Real Madrid this summer according to the player's agent Frederic Guerra. Diarra, who underwent knee surgery missing the second half of last season was hotly tipped to leave the Bernabeu after being de-registered by the club and seeing his number six shirt given to January transfer window signing Lassana Diarra.

Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer of the midfield enforcer and was linked with a move for the player in January before the 28-year-old injured his knee playing against Chad for Mali. Manchester City and Liverpool have also been monitoring the player according to reports in Spain.

Speaking exclusively to Sport.co.uk Editor Nigel Brown, Frederic Guerra ruled out any sale of the player: “It is simple, Mahamadou Diarra wants to stay and play for Real Madrid in Spain. That is it.”

'What a damn shame that Alonso has'nt been prized from Liverpool? Mamadou Diarra is tough and strong lad with experience. Covering the bach 4 and allowing Cesc to roam. And if you thoght Essien like to take a short, wait till you see Mamadou shot is like. Lets hope that Alonso sign for Real Madrid cause them Mamadou will be suplus to requirement and will come to us. Hmmm, I'd definitely celebrate coz we would be feared again.'
