Italian coach Roberto Mancini has revealed his interest in taking up a Premier League job, amid reported interest from Portsmouth. The former Internazionale coach has been linked with the potential managerial vacancy at Fratton Park should Sulaiman Al-Fahim complete his takeover of the south coast club.

The future of current incumbent Paul Hart remains unclear, but Mancini would certainly relish the opportunity to take up a job in England.

Mancini, who spent a brief spell as a player with Leicester City, was cast aside by Inter last summer in favour of Jose Mourinho despite leading them to a third straight Serie A title.

"My aim is to go and have an experience abroad, in what league I don't know," he revealed.

"Maybe the English one, mainly because I think the English league is very nice - it's a league where everyone enjoys themselves."
