Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder will not be a victim of a proposed cull at the Bernabeu according to his agent. The Dutch midfielder, who joined Los Blancos in 2007, has struggled with injury this season but hopes his return to fitness will spur him to compete for a starting berth against new boys Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo. The 25-year-old had been speculatively linked with moves to Chelsea, Arsenal and Inter Milan.
Speaking to journalists in Germany, representative Soren Lerby stressed:
"Wesley has a contract with Real Madrid until 2013. He is happy with los Blancos and therefore has no intention of moving.
"There is nothing true [about Inter]. No-one from Real Madrid has called me to discuss such a thing, so for me it is something that does not exist."
