Bergkamp advises Wenger to buy
Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp has urged Arsene Wenger to splash the cash this summer and sign Barcelona star Yaya Toure. The Dutchman, who scored 120 goals in a career spanning 11 years with the Gunners, reckons Wenger needs to add up to five players to his squad.Toure, younger brother of Arsenal star Kolo, is still wrangling with Barcelona over an improved deal to keep him at the Nou Camp.
And Bergkamp says Wenger should make a move for the Ivory Coast international, claiming Toure is the perfect player for Arsenal.
He said: "Yaya will fit in there straight away of course because of his family there.
"He knows the players there, has trained with us for a few weeks and so it would be fantastic.
"It's wise to put some new players in for the team's sake.
"I remember when I was a player, it was always a good feeling when you got four of five new players in July in the dressing room."
Bergkamp is currently working in a coaching role at Ajax but the 40-year-old has not ruled out a return to north London in the future.
He added: "It's always open of course. I always enjoyed it in England and always enjoyed it at Arsenal,so for me, it opens up alot of possibilities.
"I can stay in Holland but I've always got my eye on England as well because I enjoyed it so much, for me it wouldbe nice to go back there."
