Lavezzi says no to Liverpool
Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi has snubbed the chance to join Liverpool in the summer. The Argentine has been strongly linked with a move to Merseyside but he says he wants to remain in Serie A, where he has a contract until June 2012.
Napoli finished 12th in Serie A this season but despite the disappointing finish, Lavezzi wants to stay at the club.
"Liverpool's offer? I want to stay at Napoli," Lavezzi, 24, said.
"I hope everything will be made clear but it depends on the club not on me. I reiterate that my wish is to remain at Napoli."
