Italian enforcer rules out Premier League switch
Daniele De Rossi has ruled out a move to alleged suitors Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City by committing his long-term future to Roma.
Speaking to Sportmediset.it the Italian international said: “Every year at Roma, around April or May, the rumours start spreading around.”
“I'm very calm: I entrust my future to this shirt. A negative season will not make me change my mind, at least not to me.”
He said: “From the placing and results point of view, we did not do well, but not everything must be thrown away. In Europe we did well like against Arsenal, and in the league we were able to play great games at San Siro against Inter and Milan.”
De Rossi is one of the most vaunted talents on the continent and had previously been linked with a host of premier league clubs.
