Tottenham, Wigan Athletic, Everton and Bolton target Marouane Chamakh has been warned to only sign for one of the Premier League's 'big four' of Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea or Liverpool by Bordeaux President Jean-Louis Triaud.
The Moroccan international has already publicly revealed his intention to leave Bordeaux after they clinch the Ligue 1 title this weekend and repeatedly expressed his desire to move to England.
Speaking about the future destination of his player, Triaud offered Chamakh some choice advice:
“I am not sure that moving to Portsmouth, Everton, Charlton or Bolton would be good for his career plan,” he told RMC.
“His plan may be moving to Wigan and impress bigger Premier League clubs, but if he signs a four-year deal with Wigan, then leaving could prove tough.”
