Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been linked with a move for VFL Wolfsburg midfielder and captain Josue, according to reports in the German press. Wenger has already been linked with the 29 -year-old's team mate, Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko.

Reports suggest Wenger's close confidant Boro Primorac was impressed with the Brazilian international when watching forward Edin Dzeko at the weekend.

Josue has been a regular in the Brazilian national team since making his debut in 2007 providing an anchor for the attacking stars at Brazil's disposal. Since joining Wolfsburg in 2007 the tough tackling holding midfielder has made over 60 appearances and been given the captain's armband.

Wolfsburg are on the verge of winning the Bundesliga for the first time in their history.

'I rate him very highly. This rumour has been circulating in Germnay since January. He was linked with Chelsea as well though. We don't want to lose our skipper, but I think he wants one more big move!'
