Manchester United’s World and European player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo thinks that Carlos Tevez will definitely stay at the club, despite today’s reports to the contrary.

Talking to The Times, Ronaldo said: “Yes, definitely. Manchester United have to keep their best players and Carlos is one of the best.”

He added: “I can understand his frustration and you have to respect his decisions, but I still believe he’s going to stay here in Manchester.”

Tevez is reportedly set to leave the English Champions this summer, with Liverpool, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid all set to battle it out for his signature.

United have to pay an extra £22 million, on top of the £10 million they have already paid, in order to keep the player, however Tevez remains concerned by his lack of first team appearances.
