Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed his admiration for Nemandja Vidic and claimed that the Manchester United defender has been the best player in the Premier League season.
Speaking to FIFA.com, the Togo international stated, “
“He [Vidic] is a very good player. He knows how to play against strikers.
“He's very strong and he's ready to give his life away for Manchester United. For me, he's one of the toughest defenders in the league and the best player of the Premier League this season so far.
“He also scores a lot of important goals for the club - and he saves a lot too!”
Adebayor scored on his return from injury at the weekend, bagging an important effort as Togo defeated rivals Cameroon in a World Cup qualification match. The 25-year-old has not featured for Arsenal since limping out of the North London derby against Spurs in February but is expected to play a cameo in the Gunners’ next match versus Manchester City on Monday.
