Keane would snub Liverpool medal
Robbie Keane has fired a parting shot at Liverpool and insisted: I wouldn't want a medal if you won the league. The Republic of Ireland hitman failed to make the grade on Merseyside following his £20million summer move and returned to Tottenham on transfer deadline day. Keane, who is set to skipper Spurs in the north London derby against Arsenal on Sunday, would qualify for a winner's medal should his former club win their first title since 1990.
Liverpool are currently two points behind leaders Manchester United but if they overhaul them and win the league, Keane would snub the accolade.
He said: "Winning the Premier League would mean nothing at all to me. My brother is a Liverpool fan so I would probably give it to him.
"The way I look at it is that a medal means something when you are part of the squad and involved in winning the trophy.
"Liverpool is gone and in the past."
