Derby ready to raid Forest for McGugan

Derby boss Nigel Clough is ready to raid former club Nottingham Forest for talented midfielder Lewis McGugan. The 20-year-old has become a firm favourite since breaking into the first team as a teenager and has caught the eye during Forest's recent resurgence under former Derby boss Billy Davies.The tough-tackling midfielder, who has also scored twice this season, is expected to become Clough's first major signing since replacing Paul Jewell.

And with Forest struggling financially, Clough is ready to take advantage by luring the former England under-17 international to Pride Park and reunite him with another former City Ground favourite in Kris Commons.

'I think if Nottingham Forest chose to treat this as libel they'd be setting a rather nasty agenda...if every football club chose to sue journalists passing on heresay and transfer gossip they'd all spend more time in court than on the pitch, and wasting more money on legal fees than they do on paying wages and actually buying players... why don't you lot all just calm down...i've never seen a set of fans get their knickers so in a twist over gossip...gossip during 'silly season.' Is it because so little has gone right for Forest in recent years that you've taken to some rampant backs against the walls...we hate everyone kind of attitude? Your paranoia and aggression smacks of a fear of it actually coming true... '

Stories will always be vetted before being posted on a site, and anyone who lets this rubbish be published is clearly clueless about the actual state of affairs at Nottingham Forest Football Club. In some people's eyes this could possibly be viewed as libel, as this is clear defamation of the club.'
