Speculation is mounting that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will launch a stunning bid for Manchester United’s loan striker Carlos Tevez.
The Daily Mirror reports that the Gunners boss has pinpointed the Argentine as the perfect man to take the North London club to the next level. Currently valued at around £30m the Frenchman could make a club record bid in the summer.
24-year-old Tevez moved to Old Trafford on a two year loan deal 18 months ago, however, with the player moving down the pecking order behind Bulgarian hitman Dimitar Berbatov it is thought he could move south.
Real Madrid were reported to have shown interest in the former Hammer but have since spend big money on Dutch international Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
Tevez, who is currently in Japan with United, will discuss his future with adviser Kia Joorabchian, who is an executive box holder at the Emirates, when he returns next week.
