England batsman Kevin Pietersen has revealed he will team up with South African side Kwa-Zulu Natal Dolphins in October.
Pietersen will play in his homeland after being dropped for England's one-day and Twenty20 teams recently in order to regain form ahead of the Ashes series in Australia in the winter.
The right-hander, who made his debut for the Durban-based outfit in 1998, will feature in two four-day matches between October 7-17 and is looking forward to the opportunity of finding his feet once again.
A statement released by the England and Wales Cricket Board on Pietersen's behalf, read: "I'm extremely keen to get as much cricket as possible under my belt before a challenging and exciting winter.
"My sole focus is to continue playing a leading role for England and joining Natal is the perfect opportunity to prepare in excellent conditions immediately before the Ashes.
"These two matches will enable me to work on my game against the Kookaburra ball in southern hemisphere conditions which is the ideal preparation for Australia."
