England have released Adil Rashid and Liam Plunkett from their one-day squad midway through the series against South Africa.
Rashid and Plunkett, who are both members of the Test party, have been freed to take part in a four-day performance programme match against Highveld Lions on Monday.
Both players were overlooked for the third one-dayer against the Proteas in Cape Town on Friday.
The return to fitness of paceman Stuart Broad and spinner Graeme Swann saw the pair slip further down the pecking order.
Meanwhile, opening batsman Alastair Cook is also set to play in the match as he continues his tentative recovery from a neck problem.
The Test series against South Africa starts on December 16.
