Khan turns to Hatton for help
Amir Khan has turned to Ricky Hatton for advice on how to come back from a knock-out defeat. Hatton suffered the first loss of his career at the end of last year to Floyd Mayweather Jnr and Khan experienced the same fate when he was knocked out after just 54 seconds earlier this month against Colombia's Breidis Prescott. The Hitman successfully made his comeback against Juan Lazcano in May and Khan is looking for the same response when he returns to the ring in December.
Khan said: "I have spoken to Ricky and he has given me some good advice about how to come back from a knock out.
"The canvas is not the best place to be in boxing but you have to come back from it and come back from it stronger.
"Ricky did it and I want to do the same. Mohammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard got beaten in their careers, so it happens to the best.
"I know I have the talent to come back and be a better fighter."
Reports had suggested that Khan had sacked his coach Jorge Rubio after the defeat to Prescott and hired the experienced American Freddie Roach instead.
But Khan insists the Cuban is still part of his team. He also says he will escape the spotlight of Britain and go to LA in the build up to his next fight.
Khan added: "I have made some changes. Jorge Rubio is now assistant coach and I am going to go to LA to train with Freddie Roach.
"He is a great coach and I am going to get some good sparring sessions out there.
"When it gets close to a fight I am going to go out there for six weeks and get my head down and train hard."
