Freddie Roach, Amir Khan's trainer, believes his man can beat undefeated multi-weight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr should he be given the chance.
Roach, who also trains Filipino Manny Pacquiao, said that Khan had grown from a "boy to a man" in his unanimous points victory over Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas last night to retain his WBA light-welterweight title.
When asked whether his two fighters may fight against each other, Roach would not be drawn into a definite answer but speaking to the BBC he said: "Business is business, and you never know, but I hope Mayweather comes to the table first. I have two guys I believe who can beat him."
Roach added in regards to Khan's recent victory: "It was his ultimate test so far, he fought the toughest guy out there.
"It was a great fight and he showed a lot of heart and a good chin."
