Bryant to stay with Lakers
Kobe Bryant insists he will stay with NBA champions the LA Lakers this summer.
The 31-year-old has spent his entire 13-year career with the Lakers, winning four championships, but has an option to opt out of the final two years of his contract.
Bryant met with general manager Mitch Kupchak for an end of season debrief on Friday with talks regarded as positive.
"I'm not going anywhere," a defiant Bryant said after the meeting. "I know I ain't going nowhere, so it's just a waste of our breaths just talking about it."
Meanwhile, 64-year-old coach Phil Jackson says health issues will determine whether he stays with the California outfit.
Jackson signed a two-year contract extension last season and has the option of an extra year, but has had two hip operations since 2005.
